First Friday at the Mill Valley Library

It's 1966 Night at First Friday, featuring the Dating Game!
Put on your go-go boots, don your Nehru jacket, and tune in for a classic 60s soirée celebrating the year the Mill Valley Public Library was built. Highlights from the evening include dancing, 60s trivia, Name That Tune, and Twister. Special guest Tripp Carpenter talks about his father, Art, and the custom-built furniture in the Library.

Occupy Marathon - Saturday Nov. 26

The Occupy movement is an international protest movement which is primarily directed against social and economic inequality, high unemployment, greed, as well as corruption, and the undue influence of corporations on government. Launched On September 17th, Occupy Wall Street quickly spread around the country and the world to more than 1000 locations. Misunderstood by the mainstream media on both sides of the spectrum, this fourteen hour video marathon features shorts produced within the movement itself, by participants and observers chronicling events firsthand.

Cheese Theatre on Marinsomnia for Halloween

Tune in at midnight for a mini-retrospective of Cheese Theater featuring a selection of horror films just in time for Halloween. Producer Bill Arney introduces the films and provides his trademark insight into the significance of these B classics.

La Ciociara- Two Women (1960)

The Film tells the story of a woman trying to protect her teenage daughter from the horrors of war. The film won the Academy Award for Best Actress (Sophia Loren). It was the first time an actress won an acting award for a non-English speaking role.
