The Community Media Center of Marin is ten years old! Thank you for coming to our Block Party & Open House on Sunday, September 8. Vietnamese food from Banh Mi Zon, music by Cubed and The 7th Sons, fun photo opportunities, a cool green demonstration in the Marin TV studio, were enjoyed by all!. And some lucky raffle winners got to bring home some fabulous prizes. If you weren't able to attend the party, stop by anytime we're open and learn about all the great work that happens here! Explorations With Carl Wilson Laur: Friday, April 29th @ 6:00 PM

Over 60 IMAGES bringing us some laughs — and some questions! One of your first? — “What WAS he thinking!” And… WHY do we post our secrets so freely? Can we recognize a friend in just a few pixels? ...Will I ever find romance? BRING your LOVE POEM if you have one! We will have a chance to read aloud in an immersive environment — INSIDE the artworks! (Every piece has its own internal script — there's plenty of reading material.) Enter the mind of the artist, if you dare!

CMCM will be hosting its first in-person mixer at the center in well over two years. Carl Laur will be the master of ceremonies, showcasing his dedicated artwork. Come check out Carl's art which is here at the center for a limited time and please join us for a memorable evening of art, fun, and festivities!

2018 Ruby Award goes to CMCM Member Veda Florez!

Veda Florez, a longtime member of CMCM, will be honored with a 2018 Ruby Award by the Soroptimist International of Marin County at a ceremony to be held March 8.

Veda is being recognized for producing the Marin TV series "Latino Marin,", which weaves the Latino experience into the fabric of Marin County, encouraging education, empowerment, and engagement. Donations in support of "Latino Marin" can be made to CMCM. Congratulations, Veda!

2015 Elections for the Board of Directors

Dear CMCM member,

We are writing to inform you about the Annual Member Board Elections and Annual Member Meeting of the Community Media Center of Marin. The member meeting will be held in the last week of October (tentatively Oct 29). Prior to the meeting, the annual board elections will take place via ballots for two available board ‘member elected’ positions. For those considering running for the board, the nomination/petition documents are attached and are also available at http://cmcm.tv/boardelections.
