Marin TV recently visited the Marin Country Mart and Good Earth with a green screen and holiday hats in-hand, for Marin residents and visitors to spread their holiday cheer on the Community Channel.

We want to give a big THANK YOU to Marin Country Mart and Good Earth for letting us use your locations to feature the tour. We also would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came out to make it such a good time.

The Assembly Candidate Debate

On Saturday, September 8th, the League of Women Voters of Marin County presented a debate with the two candidates for State Assembly - incumbent Michael Allen, and San Rafael Councilman Marc Levine. Allen and Levine responded to a wide range of topics from state government legislative reform, to if elected, how they would appeal to non-democratic constituents.

The debate was directed/produced by Veda Florez and moderated by League President, Margy Eller. Anne Layzer and Kelly O'Mara posed questions submitted by nearly one hundred Marin County residents.

Sausalito People Program

Marin TV features a speaker series from the Sausalito Library. The People Program Series presents various Sausalito residents talking about their work, area of expertise, or adventures and experiences.

Such people include the fashion designer Megan Papay who shares her experiences as co-founder of Freda Salvador, an innovative women’s footwear company based in Sausalito. Others include Sausalito resident David Wronski who talks about life as an ultra long-distance runner. He tells the story of running the entire 168-mile Lake Tahoe Rim Trail in 68 hours without stopping for sleep.

Each semester, the Institute for Leadership studies hosts the Leadership Lectures Series, in partnership with Book Passage, highlights extraordinary individual, organizational and societal leadership.

The Lecture Series seeks to promote constructive change in our community and its organizations by bringing to Dominican University of California some of the country’s leading figures from the world of business, politics, entertainment, academia, and literature.
